electrophotography
Electrophotography is a printing process that uses electrical charges to transfer toner onto paper. It begins with a photosensitive drum that is charged and then exposed to light, creating an image. The areas exposed to light lose their charge, while the unexposed areas retain it, allowing toner to stick only to the desired image.
Once the toner is applied, the paper passes through a fuser, which uses heat and pressure to bond the toner to the paper. This method is commonly used in laser printers and copiers, providing high-quality prints with sharp details and vibrant colors.
