disc (Disk)
A disc (or disk) is a flat, circular object that can be made from various materials, such as plastic, metal, or glass. It is commonly used to store data, like in the case of a CD (Compact Disc) or DVD (Digital Versatile Disc), which hold music, videos, or software. Discs can also refer to physical items like frisbees or hockey pucks.
In technology, discs are often used in computers for data storage. A hard disk drive (HDD) is a type of storage device that uses spinning discs to read and write data. Solid-state drives (SSDs) have become popular alternatives, as they do not use moving parts and offer faster performance.
