Carom is a cue sport played on a square board with four pockets, where players use a striker to hit wooden discs called carrom men. The objective is to pocket all of one's own discs, either black or white, while also trying to sink the queen, a special red disc, for bonus points.
The game can be played by two or four players, and it emphasizes skillful striking and strategic positioning. Players take turns flicking the striker with their fingers, aiming to knock their discs into the pockets while avoiding fouls, such as hitting the opponent's discs first.
