caber tossing
Caber tossing is a traditional Scottish athletic event that involves lifting and throwing a tall, heavy log called a caber. The goal is to flip the caber end over end so that it lands in a straight line from the thrower. Competitors must demonstrate strength, balance, and technique to successfully toss the caber.
The event is often featured at Highland Games, which celebrate Scottish culture and heritage. Each competitor takes turns tossing the caber, and judges score based on how well the caber is thrown. The ideal toss results in the smaller end of the caber pointing away from the thrower upon landing.
