Zumwalt Class
The Zumwalt Class is a class of stealthy destroyers in the United States Navy, designed for multi-mission capabilities. These ships feature advanced technology, including a unique hull design that reduces radar visibility, making them harder to detect. The class is named after Admiral Elmo Zumwalt, who served as Chief of Naval Operations in the 1970s.
Each Zumwalt-class destroyer is equipped with powerful weapons systems, including the AGM-158C LRASM and 155mm Advanced Gun System. The ships are also designed for improved automation, allowing for a smaller crew size compared to traditional destroyers. Their primary roles include land attack, anti-air warfare, and anti-surface warfare.
