Zimbabwean Dollar
The Zimbabwean Dollar is the official currency of Zimbabwe. It was first introduced in 1980, replacing the Rhodesian Dollar. Over the years, the currency has undergone several changes and redenominations due to hyperinflation, which peaked in the late 2000s, rendering the currency nearly worthless.
In 2009, the use of the Zimbabwean Dollar was suspended, and the country began using foreign currencies like the US Dollar and the South African Rand. In 2019, the Zimbabwean Dollar was reintroduced, but the economy continues to face challenges, including inflation and currency stability issues.
