Zhang Heng
Zhang Heng was a Chinese polymath who lived during the Eastern Han dynasty, around 78 to 139 AD. He is best known for his contributions to astronomy, mathematics, and engineering. Zhang Heng invented the first seismoscope, an instrument used to detect earthquakes, which demonstrated his advanced understanding of natural phenomena.
In addition to his scientific achievements, Zhang Heng was also a skilled poet and writer. He wrote essays and poetry that reflected his thoughts on nature and philosophy.
