Zarf
A zarf is a holder, typically made of metal, wood, or ceramic, designed to support a hot beverage cup, especially in the context of coffee or tea. It allows the user to hold the cup without burning their fingers. Zarfs are often intricately designed and can be considered decorative items as well as functional.
Historically, zarfs originated in the Middle East and were commonly used in the Ottoman Empire. They are sometimes associated with the traditional serving of coffee, which is an important cultural practice in many Middle Eastern countries. Today, zarfs can be found in various styles, reflecting both modern and traditional aesthetics.
