Yvette Clarke
Yvette Clarke is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for New York's 9th congressional district since 2007. She is a member of the Democratic Party and is known for her advocacy on issues such as healthcare, education, and civil rights. Clarke is the first woman of Jamaican descent elected to the U.S. Congress.
Before her congressional career, Clarke served on the New York City Council from 2002 to 2006. She has a background in public administration and has been involved in various community organizations. Clarke continues to focus on policies that support her constituents in Brooklyn.
