Yuki Language
Yuki Language is a critically endangered language spoken by the Yuki people, an Indigenous group in northern California. It belongs to the Penutian language family and has unique phonetic and grammatical features that distinguish it from neighboring languages.
Historically, the Yuki language was used in daily communication and cultural practices. However, due to colonization and the decline of the Yuki population, the number of fluent speakers has drastically decreased, leading to efforts in language revitalization and preservation among the community and linguists.
