Young Adult Library Services Association
The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) is a division of the American Library Association (ALA) that focuses on the needs and interests of young adults, typically ages 12 to 18. YALSA provides resources, support, and professional development for librarians and educators to help them effectively serve this age group.
YALSA also promotes reading and literacy through various initiatives, including the annual selection of the Best Fiction for Young Adults and the Teen's Top Ten list. These programs encourage young readers to engage with literature and participate in their local libraries, fostering a love for reading and learning.
