Yoon Dong-ju
Yoon Dong-ju was a prominent South Korean poet and writer, born on December 30, 1917, in Korea. He is best known for his poignant poetry that reflects the struggles and aspirations of the Korean people during the Japanese occupation. Yoon Dong-ju studied at Yale University and was deeply influenced by Western literature. His most famous collection, "The Sky, My Home," showcases his lyrical style and emotional depth. Tragically, he was arrested by the Japanese authorities and died in prison on February 16, 1945, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire many.
