Yeoman
A Yeoman historically refers to a class of small landowners in England who farmed their own land. They were considered part of the gentry but did not have the wealth or status of the nobility. Yeomen played a significant role in the agricultural economy and were often seen as hardworking and self-sufficient individuals.
In modern usage, the term "yeoman" can also refer to a person who performs various duties, especially in a supportive role. For example, in the U.S. Navy, a Yeoman is responsible for administrative tasks, such as managing correspondence and maintaining records, contributing to the smooth operation of the organization.
