Yamata-no-Orochi
Yamata-no-Orochi is a legendary eight-headed serpent from Japanese mythology. It is known for its immense size and terrifying appearance, with each of its heads possessing a pair of eyes and sharp fangs. The creature is said to have lived in the region of Izumo, where it terrorized the local population by demanding sacrifices, particularly young maidens.
The tale of Yamata-no-Orochi is closely associated with the hero Susanoo, who ultimately defeated the serpent.
