Yala National Park
Yala National Park is located in the southeastern region of Sri Lanka and is one of the country's most popular wildlife reserves. Covering approximately 979 square kilometers, it is known for its diverse ecosystems, including forests, grasslands, and wetlands. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, leopards, and numerous bird species.
Established in 1938, Yala was the first national park in Sri Lanka. It attracts many visitors each year who come to experience its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. The park is divided into several blocks, with Block I being the most visited due to its high concentration of wildlife.
