Y-8
The Y-8 is a Chinese military transport aircraft developed by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation. It is primarily used for cargo and personnel transport, as well as for surveillance and reconnaissance missions. The aircraft is based on the Soviet Antonov An-12 design and has been modified to meet modern requirements.
The Y-8 features a high-wing design and four turboprop engines, allowing it to operate from short and unpaved airstrips. It has been used by the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) and has several variants, including those equipped for electronic warfare and maritime patrol.
