Yūshio-class Destroyer
The Yūshio-class destroyer is a class of anti-submarine warfare destroyers used by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. Commissioned in the 1970s, these ships were designed to enhance Japan's naval capabilities during the Cold War. They feature advanced sonar systems and torpedo launchers, making them effective against submarines.
Each Yūshio-class destroyer is approximately 137 meters long and can reach speeds of up to 30 knots. The class includes a total of 6 ships, which have been gradually replaced by newer classes like the Asahi-class destroyer. Their design emphasizes stealth and operational flexibility in maritime defense.
