Xian Xinghai was a prominent Chinese composer and musician, born on July 21, 1905, in Guangdong. He is best known for his contributions to Chinese music during the 20th century, particularly for blending traditional Chinese elements with Western styles. His most famous work, the "Yellow River Cantata," reflects the spirit of the Chinese people during times of struggle.
