XX Corps
The XX Corps was a unit of the United States Army during World War II. It was activated in 1943 and played a significant role in the European Theater, particularly during the Battle of the Bulge and the Rhine River crossing. The corps was known for its effective coordination of infantry and armored divisions.
Commanded by Major General Walton Walker, the XX Corps was part of the Third Army under General George S. Patton. It contributed to the liberation of several key cities in Germany and was instrumental in the Allied advance into Central Europe. The corps was deactivated after the war in 1945.
