X-ray Images
X-ray images are a type of medical imaging that uses a small amount of radiation to create pictures of the inside of the body. They are commonly used to examine bones, teeth, and certain organs. The images help doctors diagnose fractures, infections, and other conditions by showing differences in tissue density.
During an X-ray procedure, a machine sends X-ray beams through the body, capturing images on a special film or digital sensor. Dense materials, like bones, appear white on the image, while softer tissues, such as muscles and organs, appear in shades of gray. This contrast helps healthcare professionals assess a patient's health.
