Wyandot
The Wyandot are a Native American people originally from the Great Lakes region, particularly around present-day Ohio and Michigan. They are part of the larger Iroquois confederacy and are known for their rich cultural heritage, including traditional crafts, storytelling, and ceremonies. Historically, the Wyandot were involved in agriculture, hunting, and trade.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, many Wyandot people were forced to relocate due to European colonization and conflicts. Today, the Wyandot Nation of Kansas and the Wyandotte Nation in Oklahoma are recognized tribes, preserving their history and culture while engaging in various economic and community development initiatives.
