Wright Family
The Wright Family is best known for their contributions to aviation, particularly the pioneering work of Orville Wright and Wilbur Wright. They are credited with inventing and building the first successful powered airplane, the Wright Flyer, which made its historic flight on December 17, 1903, in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
The Wright brothers were born in the late 19th century in Indiana and later moved to Ohio. Their passion for flight began with a toy helicopter, leading them to study aerodynamics and develop their own aircraft designs. Their innovative spirit laid the foundation for modern aviation.
