World Islands
The "World Islands" is an artificial archipelago located off the coast of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It consists of 300 small islands designed to resemble a world map when viewed from above. The project was initiated by the developer Nakheel Properties and aims to create a unique tourist destination with residential, commercial, and leisure facilities.
Construction of the islands began in 2003, but progress has been slow due to various challenges, including economic fluctuations and environmental concerns. Some islands have been developed into luxury resorts and private homes, while others remain undeveloped. The project highlights Dubai's ambition to create innovative and extravagant real estate developments.
