World Boxing Organization
The World Boxing Organization (WBO) is one of the four major professional boxing organizations, alongside the World Boxing Association (WBA), International Boxing Federation (IBF), and World Boxing Council (WBC). Founded in 1988, the WBO is responsible for sanctioning professional boxing matches and awarding championship titles in various weight classes.
The WBO aims to promote fair competition and ensure the safety of boxers. It establishes rules and regulations for bouts and rankings, helping to maintain the integrity of the sport. The organization also works to support the development of boxing globally, fostering talent and promoting events.
