World Bodybuilding Federation
The World Bodybuilding Federation (WBF) was established in 1990 by professional wrestler Vince McMahon. It aimed to promote bodybuilding as a mainstream sport and provide a platform for bodybuilders to compete at a high level. The WBF organized competitions and offered significant prize money, attracting many athletes.
Despite its initial success, the WBF struggled to maintain its popularity and faced competition from other organizations like the International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB). The federation ceased operations in 1992, but it left a lasting impact on the bodybuilding community and contributed to the sport's visibility.
