Woodstock '99
Woodstock '99 was a music festival held from July 22 to July 25, 1999, in Rome, New York. It was intended to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original Woodstock festival in 1969. The event featured performances from various artists, including Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Alanis Morissette, attracting a large crowd of around 400,000 attendees.
However, Woodstock '99 became infamous for its chaotic atmosphere and incidents of violence, sexual assaults, and fires. The high prices for food and water, along with extreme heat, contributed to the unrest. The festival is often remembered as a stark contrast to the peace and love ethos of the original Woodstock.
