Women Engineers
Women engineers are professionals who apply scientific and mathematical principles to design, develop, and improve structures, systems, and technologies. They work in various fields, including civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and software engineering, contributing to projects that impact everyday life, such as buildings, transportation, and technology.
Despite historical underrepresentation in the engineering field, the number of women engineers has been steadily increasing. Organizations and initiatives, such as Society of Women Engineers (SWE), aim to support and encourage women to pursue careers in engineering, promoting diversity and innovation within the industry.
