Witiza
Witiza was a king of the Visigoths who ruled in the late 7th century, specifically from 702 to 710 AD. He is known for his attempts to strengthen the Visigothic kingdom in Hispania (modern-day Spain) and for his efforts to promote Christianity among his people. His reign was marked by internal conflicts and challenges from rival factions.
Witiza's rule ended with his death, leading to a power struggle that resulted in the ascension of Roderic, his rival. This period of instability contributed to the eventual decline of the Visigothic kingdom, which faced invasions from the Muslims in the early 8th century.
