Wings of Tatev
The Wings of Tatev is a cable car system located in Armenia, connecting the village of Tatev to the Tatev Monastery. Opened in 2010, it spans approximately 5.7 kilometers, making it one of the longest reversible aerial tramways in the world. The cable car offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes, including the Vorotan Gorge.
The project was designed to boost tourism in the region and provide easier access to the historic monastery, which dates back to the 9th century. The Tatev Monastery is a significant cultural and religious site, attracting visitors interested in Armenia's rich history and natural beauty.
