Wind Point Lighthouse
Wind Point Lighthouse is located in Wind Point, Wisconsin, near Lake Michigan. Built in 1880, it stands at 108 feet tall and is one of the tallest lighthouses in the United States. The lighthouse was designed to guide ships safely through the waters of the Great Lakes.
The lighthouse features a distinctive white brick tower with a red lantern room at the top. It was automated in 1964, eliminating the need for a keeper. Today, Wind Point Lighthouse is a popular tourist attraction, offering scenic views and a glimpse into maritime history.
