Willow Warbler
The Willow Warbler is a small, migratory songbird belonging to the family Phylloscopidae. It measures about 11 to 12 centimeters in length and has a distinctive olive-green plumage with a lighter underbelly. This bird is commonly found in woodlands, gardens, and scrub areas across Europe and parts of Asia during the breeding season.
During migration, the Willow Warbler travels to West Africa for the winter. Its song is a series of melodic notes, often heard during the breeding season. The species primarily feeds on insects and larvae, playing a vital role in controlling pest populations in its habitat.
