Williams Fork River
The Williams Fork River is a tributary of the Colorado River located in north-central Colorado. It flows through the Williams Fork Valley and is known for its scenic beauty, surrounded by mountains and forests. The river is approximately 30 miles long and is popular for recreational activities such as fishing, kayaking, and hiking along its banks.
The river's headwaters begin in the Routt National Forest and it eventually joins the Colorado River near the town of Parshall. The Williams Fork Reservoir, created by a dam on the river, provides water storage and recreational opportunities, contributing to the local ecosystem and economy.
