William Pulteney
William Pulteney (1684–1769) was an English politician known for his significant role in the development of the city of Bath. He served as a Member of Parliament for over 30 years and was a prominent figure in the Whig party. Pulteney was instrumental in promoting the architectural and social growth of Bath during the 18th century.
In addition to his political career, Pulteney was a key figure in the construction of the Pulteney Bridge, which is one of Bath's most famous landmarks. His efforts contributed to the city's reputation as a fashionable spa destination, attracting visitors and boosting the local economy.
