William Perkins
William Perkins was an English theologian and scholar born in 1558. He is best known for his contributions to the development of Puritanism and his influential writings on Reformed theology. Perkins also played a significant role in the establishment of Cambridge University as a center for Puritan thought. His works, including "The Art of Prophesying," provided guidance for preachers and helped to standardize Puritan preaching practices.
