William Henry
William Henry was the ninth President of the United States, serving for a brief period in 1841. He was born on February 9, 1773, in Virginia and was a member of the Whig Party. Before his presidency, he gained fame as a military leader during the War of 1812 and served in various political roles, including as a congressman and governor of Indiana Territory.
His presidency was cut short when he died just 31 days after taking office, making him the first U.S. president to die in office. His death led to the first presidential succession crisis, as John Tyler, his vice president, assumed the presidency.
