William H. Taft
William H. Taft was the 27th President of the United States, serving from 1909 to 1913. He was born on September 15, 1857, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Before his presidency, Taft held various positions, including Secretary of War under Theodore Roosevelt. He was known for his efforts in trust-busting and promoting international trade.
After his presidency, Taft became the 10th Chief Justice of the United States, making him the only person to have held both offices. He served on the Supreme Court from 1921 to 1930, focusing on legal reform and the administration of justice. Taft passed away on March 8, 1930.
