William H. Murray
William H. Murray was an American politician and a prominent figure in the state of Oklahoma. He served as the 4th Governor of Oklahoma from 1931 to 1935. A member of the Democratic Party, he focused on economic recovery during the Great Depression, implementing various reforms to support the state's struggling economy.
Before his governorship, Murray was a successful lawyer and served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. He was known for his advocacy of education and infrastructure improvements. After leaving office, he continued to influence state politics and remained active in public service until his death in 1956.
