William Allen White
William Allen White was an American journalist, author, and influential public figure born on February 10, 1868, in Emporia, Kansas. He is best known for his editorial work at the Emporia Gazette, where he wrote about social issues and politics, earning a reputation as a leading voice in American journalism during the early 20th century.
In addition to his journalism, White authored several books, including the famous A Certain Rich Man. He was also involved in politics, supporting various causes and candidates, and he played a significant role in the Progressive Era reforms. White passed away on January 29, 1944.
