White Movement
The White Movement refers to a collection of anti-Bolshevik forces during the Russian Civil War (1917-1922). These groups opposed the Red Army, which represented the Bolshevik government, and sought to restore the pre-revolutionary order or establish a different form of government. The movement included various factions, such as monarchists, liberals, and socialists, united primarily by their opposition to the Bolsheviks.
The White Movement received support from several foreign powers, including the United Kingdom, France, and the United States, who were concerned about the spread of communism. Despite initial successes, the movement ultimately failed, leading to the consolidation of Bolshevik power and the establishment of the Soviet Union.
