Wet Scrubbing Systems
Wet scrubbing systems are air pollution control devices that use liquid to remove pollutants from industrial exhaust gases. These systems typically involve spraying a scrubbing liquid, often water mixed with chemicals, into the gas stream. As the gas passes through the liquid, contaminants such as sulfur dioxide and particulate matter are captured and removed.
The primary components of a wet scrubbing system include a scrubber, a pump, and a collection tank. The scrubber can be designed in various configurations, such as venturi scrubbers or packed bed scrubbers, depending on the specific application and type of pollutants being treated.
