Western Indo-European
Western Indo-European refers to a branch of the larger Indo-European language family, which includes languages spoken in Europe and parts of Asia. This group encompasses several ancient and modern languages, such as Latin, Germanic, and Celtic. These languages share common linguistic features and roots, making them part of the same historical lineage.
The Western Indo-European languages evolved from a common ancestral language, known as Proto-Indo-European, which was spoken thousands of years ago. Over time, as communities migrated and settled in different regions, distinct languages emerged, leading to the rich tapestry of languages we see today in Europe and beyond.
