Welding Materials
Welding materials are essential components used in the welding process to join metals together. These materials include welding rods, wires, and filler metals, which provide the necessary substance to create a strong bond between the workpieces. The choice of welding material depends on the type of metal being welded and the welding technique used, such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas) or TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding.
In addition to filler materials, protective gases like argon or carbon dioxide are often used to shield the weld from contamination. Other important welding materials include flux, which helps to clean the metal surfaces and prevent oxidation, and welding electrodes, which conduct electricity to create the heat needed for melting the metals.
