Web Spinners
Web spinners are a group of arthropods that include spiders, scorpions, and their relatives. They belong to the class Arachnida and are characterized by having eight legs and no antennae. Web spinners are known for their ability to produce silk, which they use to create webs for trapping prey, building shelters, or laying eggs.
Among the most well-known web spinners are spiders, which vary in size and habitat. Some species, like the orb-weaver, create intricate, circular webs, while others, like the wolf spider, do not spin webs at all but hunt their prey directly. Web spinners play a crucial role in ecosystems by controlling insect populations.
