Web 1.0
Web 1.0 refers to the early stage of the internet, roughly from the early 1990s to the early 2000s. During this period, websites were mostly static, meaning they displayed fixed content that users could read but not interact with. The primary purpose of these sites was to provide information, and they often resembled online brochures.
In Web 1.0, users primarily consumed content rather than creating it. Interaction was limited, with few opportunities for user engagement or feedback. This era laid the foundation for the internet we know today, but it lacked the dynamic features and social connectivity that characterize later stages like Web 2.0.
