Weather Underground Organization
The Weather Underground Organization (WUO) was a radical leftist group formed in the late 1960s in the United States. It emerged from the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and aimed to promote social change through direct action and protest against the Vietnam War. The group was known for its militant tactics, including bombings and other forms of civil disobedience.
The WUO believed that violent action was necessary to combat what they viewed as systemic oppression and imperialism. They sought to inspire a revolution to create a more just society. The organization became less active by the mid-1970s, with many members going underground or disbanding.
