Weather Fronts
A weather front is a boundary that separates two different air masses, which can have varying temperatures and humidity levels. When these air masses meet, they can create changes in weather conditions, such as rain, snow, or thunderstorms. There are four main types of weather fronts: cold fronts, warm fronts, stationary fronts, and occluded fronts.
Cold fronts occur when a mass of cold air pushes into a warmer air mass, often leading to sudden storms. Warm fronts happen when warm air rises over cold air, resulting in gradual precipitation. Understanding these fronts helps meteorologists predict weather patterns and inform the public about upcoming conditions.
