Waxing Moon
The Waxing Moon refers to the phase of the moon when it is increasing in illumination after the new moon and before the full moon. During this period, more of the moon's surface becomes visible from Earth, transitioning from a thin crescent to a half-moon and eventually to a full moon. This phase typically lasts about two weeks.
The waxing phase is divided into two parts: the Waxing Crescent and the Waxing Gibbous. The waxing crescent occurs shortly after the new moon, while the waxing gibbous phase happens as the moon approaches fullness. This cycle is part of the larger lunar cycle, which lasts about 29.5 days.
