Water-Based Stains
Water-based stains are finishing products used to color wood and other surfaces. They are made with water as the primary solvent, making them easier to clean up and less harmful to the environment compared to oil-based stains. These stains dry quickly and can be applied with brushes, rags, or spray equipment.
One of the main advantages of water-based stains is their low odor, which makes them suitable for indoor use. They also retain the natural grain of the wood, providing a beautiful finish. However, they may require multiple coats for deeper color and can raise the grain of the wood, necessitating sanding between applications.
