Washington Territorial Legislature
The Washington Territorial Legislature was the legislative body for the Washington Territory from 1854 until Washington became a state in 1889. It consisted of a bicameral system, including a House of Representatives and a Council. The legislature was responsible for creating laws, managing territorial finances, and addressing local issues.
During its existence, the legislature passed various laws that shaped the territory's development, including those related to land use, education, and infrastructure.
