Washington Interscholastic Activities Association
The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) is the governing body for high school sports and activities in the state of Washington. Established in 1904, it oversees various athletic competitions, ensuring fair play and adherence to rules among member schools. The WIAA also promotes educational values through sportsmanship and teamwork.
In addition to athletics, the WIAA manages a range of non-athletic activities, including music, drama, and debate. It serves over 800 member schools, providing resources and support to enhance student participation and engagement in extracurricular activities across the state.
